Cookies and similar technologies on GetTradesmen.uk
This page explains what cookies are, what the current GetTradesmen.uk site intentionally uses, how third-party destination sites are different and what we will do if non-essential tracking is introduced later.
We do not currently intentionally set non-essential cookies
The current GetTradesmen.uk site code does not intentionally set analytics, advertising or preference cookies and does not include analytics or advertising pixels. Because of that, we have not added a consent banner purely for appearance. If non-essential technologies are introduced later, we will update this policy and use consent controls where required.
1. About cookies

Last updated: 15 August 2026. Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or online service can store on your device and read again later. Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels, tags and other device-access methods.

2. Current GetTradesmen.uk setup
What the website intentionally uses today
At the date shown above, the GetTradesmen.uk application code does not intentionally set analytics cookies, advertising cookies or preference cookies. It also does not currently include Google Analytics, advertising pixels or equivalent behavioural-tracking scripts.
The site is delivered through third-party hosting and security infrastructure. Those systems may process technical request data and may use strictly necessary technologies where needed to deliver, secure, balance or protect the service. Strictly necessary technologies do not require the same consent as non-essential tracking, although users should still be told about them.
If the actual site configuration changes, the policy should be reviewed so this description continues to match what is really deployed.
3. External services
What happens when you leave GetTradesmen.uk
GetTradesmen.uk may link to third-party job-posting, trade-matching or other partner websites. When you follow an external link, you leave our website and the destination service may use its own cookies, analytics, fraud-prevention tools, advertising technologies or consent controls.
Those technologies are controlled by the third party and are covered by that organisation’s own cookie and privacy information. You should review the destination site’s choices before submitting personal details or continuing if you want to understand its tracking practices.
A mailto link on our Contact page simply asks your device to open your usual email application. Your email provider or email app may operate under its own privacy and technical settings.
4. If we add analytics or advertising
How non-essential cookies would be handled
If GetTradesmen.uk later adds analytics, advertising, personalisation or other non-essential storage or access technologies, we will review the legal and technical requirements before enabling them.
Where consent is required, non-essential technologies will not be set merely because someone continues browsing. We would provide clear information about what is used and why, allow an appropriate choice before those technologies are activated, and make it reasonably easy to change that choice later.
The Cookie Policy would also be updated to identify the relevant categories, purposes and available controls.
5. Your controls
Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies and control whether third-party cookies are allowed. Blocking all cookies can affect websites that rely on strictly necessary cookies for requested features, so browser settings should be adjusted with that in mind.
Your browser or device help pages will explain the controls available for the version you use. Private or incognito browsing can also limit some local storage, although it does not make browsing completely anonymous.
